Knitting for bump

Not really sewing related, but I know that lots of people who sew also knit so I thought I'd post about my recent attempt at knitting.  I've been knitting for many years on and off but I'm still a real beginner and get stuck on lots of the terms used in patterns !

Being lucky enough to have a little bump to knit for (due in Nov :-)) I was feeling inspired to pick up the needles again !

Here's the finished result (yes we are expecting a boy, we will be an all boy house !) , I'm very pleased with it ! even if it did take me AGES lol !!

I used King Cole 50% Cotton 50% Bamboo DK yarn it's really super soft to knit with, I got mine here http://www.deramores.com/dk-knitting-yarn?brand=104&fibres=10 although I think it's widely available.

I've got plenty of yarn left so just about to start a hat, then some mittens and some booties to match :-)
